Intense Pulsed Light as its name says, works by providing pulsating light in a range of wavelength that can induce controlled increased temperature in different layers of the skin. Depending on the purpose of the treatment, it can target pigmentation, blood vessels or skin surface. The treatment protocol is 3 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatment should be once to twice a year. The treatment can be customized for the following treatment goals:
- Skin resurfacing: improving skin tone, removing fine wrinkles and skin pores
- Brown spots: removing melasma, solar lentigines and photoaging changes
- Rosacea treatments: improving skin redness
- Removing telangiectasia (small vessels), spider veins, face veins
